Jack Point is a recurring jester character from Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Yeoman of the Guard (1888), famously depicted as a heartbroken clown who collapses after being rejected by Elsie Maynard. The original figure was first modeled in 1918 by Royal Doulton’s art director Charles J. Noke.
Michael Doulton is a descendant of the founder and has served as a long-time ambassador for the brand. He's frequently attended collector events, signing sessions, and appears in promotional contexts. Figurines—though typically modeled by Royal Doulton artists—occasionally bear his signature, especially when part of promotional or prestige series. It's my opinion you have one of these.
Most of these Jack Point figures sell at auction for between $300 and $500. Some Ebay sellers may have others with similar signatures but the (higher) prices they are asking are retail values.

dated February 25, 1982; signed by Michael Doulton on July 25, 1986 as an anniversary of the figure.
