It's a bank check table. It appears to be made of brass and bronze, perhaps some parts are copper. I found a similar one online. That's where I got the title. It had a middle section that I have disassembled to make it shorter and also had a marble bass that I have removed to make it shorter. The original top is glass I believe but it has a custom granite top on it now. It's very heavy

I think this could have been made in the 1930s, so have expanded the date range to be more accurate, though if you have information/documentation confirming it was made in 1920 please let me know so I can correct this appraisal.
Similar Art Deco console tables come to auction from time to time and when they have their original marble tops and bases, can sell for as much as $10,000, though ones with replaced and/or missing elements usually bring a little less. Yours has a fair-market value of $5,000-7,000.
