Dear Katina,
Many thanks for submitting information and images related to your vase. Before proceeding with the appraisal, can you please confirm the approximate dimensions of the vase--height x width?
Kind regards,
Grace
Many thanks Katina!
The appraised work is a hand-painted Art Deco vase signed by Belgian artist Antoine Dubois, designed from c. 1920-1950, likely for Mons Pottery. The earthenware vase is decorated with what appears to be matte enamels and features a geometric design comprised of clean lines and a mixture of angular and curved shapes that create an abstracted sun-like pattern with radiating rays. The bulbous vase sits on an octagonal base that is unpainted. The estimate provided is based on comparables recently offered and sold at auction. In many cases, pricing for comparable examples available on the primary (retail) market vary and are often higher than secondary (auction) market examples.
