Great condition, no chips or problems. As shown in one of the pictures, there is a signature... in cursive, which i read as "Miui Louis". This is glass, fused, and well done.
5.5" diameter, 13.5" tall.
Hi Leonard,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The name "Miui Louis" doesn't ring any bells, nor do they appear in any of the databases for studio art glass. I've played around with the name a little - Mimi? Millifiori? Minifour? Minilous? Minilous?....nothing comes up.
Without a positive identification on the signature, I've appraised this lovely vase on its own merits; in recent auctions, similarly sized vases typically bring $300-500.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
Twentieth Century School
Studio art glass vase
Of circular section and conical form, with fused clear and amethyst glass, with flat rim and foot, the underside of which is indistinctly signed "Mimifour".
13-1/2 inches tall, 5-1/2 inches diameter
CONDITION: This vase appears to be in good condition; value assumes no chips, breaks, repairs or losses.
PROVENANCE: Unknown
$ 300-500*
