Hi Shannon,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The artist Arthur Glickman is a 20th-century American sculptor, but he is relatively obscure and not widely documented in major art histories. Most information about him comes from auction listings, collector references, and artist directories rather than museum scholarship. We know he was born in 1923, in the United States, was working mainly in the late 20th Century, and is known for small-scale sculpture and decorative bronze works, though he also worked in resin.
Your piece - showing a bronze figure 'floating' in a window - is characteristic of his oeuvre.
The price your father paid to acquire this was a retail price (primary market) whereas the values Mearto assigns are fair-market prices (secondary market), based on recent auction sales of the artist's works. Given what Glickman's works have been selling for in recent auctions, this would probably be priced between $800 and $1,200 but could go for more if placed in the right auction. If you're looking to sell this, I would start at $4,000.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
Arthur Glickman (American, b 1923)
