Asian watercolor and ink framed painting
Truthfully I am unsure if the work is Japanese or Chinese. I understand you appraise both areas so I leave it up to you for the appropriate appraisal. The painting measures 18 1/2 inches by 13 inches. It is matted under glass in a frame measuring 24 3/4 by 20 inches. It appears to be a watercolor and ink on rice paper but I wait for your expert opinion on the artwork and the associated lettering and stamps on the work.

A Chinese watercolor on ricepaper. Very popular theme of plum blossom and birds. Although its not easy to see the difference between a print and an original watercolor I believe there is no reason to think this is not original. Painting is not by a famous artist and is signed Liu Yaojun and dated 1930. I believe its likely its made in 1930 and not a later copy. Hard to put a price on an relatively unknown artist with no clear price references but I think the quality is nice and Chinese art is sought after including these types of work. It could do a little more in auction but I want to put a conservative estimate on this work.
