Appears to be designer Versace chair. This is all I know about it
It was given to me as a gift from a storage auction.
Good afternoon, Larone,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
This is a beautiful chair; I've done some research into what Atelier Versace furniture - specifically chairs - are bringing on the auction market vs the retail market and am sorry to say (but not entirely surprised) that the retail market is considerably higher (by as much as 10 times) than the auction/fair-market, which are the values Mearto provides.
If you'd like this appraisal to include dimensions, please forward the following - in inches - to me at your convenience (the height of the back, the height of the top of the seat at the front, and the greatest width of the front of the seat).
Based on the photographs and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A Regency style ebonized and brass mounted side chair
attributed to Atelier Versace, late 20th century
The black-painted frame with inset back and seat cushions in Moroccan inspired blue silk with a vibrant seat trim, on square tapering legs with brass casters.
39 inches overall height; seat height 19 inches. Seat width 21 inches
$500-800*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, and thank you for using Mearto.
The height is 39 inches. The width of the front of the seat is 21 inches. The height of the top of the seat is 19 inches
