The Atmos Jaeger-LeCoultre clock was first designed in 1928 by Jean-Léon Reutter, a Swiss engineer. The design was later refined and commercialized by Jaeger-LeCoultre in 1935. The Atmos clock is famous for its nearly perpetual movement, powered by temperature and atmospheric pressure changes.
Still in business today, hundreds of thousands of these clocks (if not millions) have been made and, at any given time, there are several for sale through a variety of venues, including online and brick-and-mortar auctions, clock and watch dealers and private sellers.
