What does this mean?

This is an antique early 20th century cast metal figural of a young boy holding a stick with two birds perched upon it while seemingly having a conversation with the birds. It is entitled Charmeur and was designed in 1900 by French sculptpr Auguste Louis Mathurin Moreau (1834-1917). This is more likely a spelter or pot metal with bronzed surface and not actually cast bronze metal. These were often converted to bases for electric lamps. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
