Hi Robert
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
This mysterious film first surfaced in the early 1970s when a fly-by-night company advertised an 8 mm adult film titled “Barbra Streisand in Hardcore!” with the promise of it being in "SepiaTone"—essentially a tinted black-and-white format. In a 1977 Playboy interview, Streisand admitted she couldn’t resist the curiosity and watched the film. She noted: “The film, naturally, is very blurred. The girl has long hair, like I did back in the Sixties, although she was chubby, while I was very skinny. But the dead giveaway came when the camera zoomed in on her hands around the guy’s you-know-what. There they were: short, stubby fingers! Definitely not mine. So all you would-be-buyers, don’t waste your money.”
A copy sold in 2024 for just $10, which may be a bit low but which strongly suggests it may have limited fair-market value.
