What does this mean?

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. Based on the photographs and information provided, this is a Carl Fischer branded Saxophone circa USA mid 20th century. The piece appears to be in fair, used condition as the finish shows considerable scratching near the bow, some tarnishing, and some dings on the body. The piece may not be complete as photos seem to indicate the neck and mouthpiece are missing and no case is included with the saxophone. Carl Fischer Music Company published teaching materials for instruments including saxophones, and placed its name on saxophones made by a variety of other manufacturers. No serial number is noted from the photographs, and the piece has value as a decorator piece or the potential as the basis for a restoration project. As is, Fair Market Value of the piece is estimated at $50 to $75.
