What does this mean?

Dear Fenella,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.

The presented object appears to be two bayonets with a characteristically curved yatagan blade. The blades are not stamped with a fabrication hallmark which is unusual. The design, the handle, and the construction are comparable with Austrian M1870 bayonets. Both bayonets come without scabbard.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 70 to 150 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.

With kind regards,
Georg
