Looks gold plated but some areas look like real gold. Earrings are around 1 in and the pin is 3 in long. I bought it from a person together with lots of 40s and 50s jewelry. No marks other that a patent number on the earring, but I found out that the patent number is for the earring clasp only.
Lots of 40s and 50s jewelry.
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a lovely set of earrings and brooch. The jewellery set was made in the 1940s-1950s as you state yourself. The material used is gold coloured material set with what looks like cut corals and a blue carved material. This could be porcelain or another kind of cast material. The portraits resemble portraits seen on cameo brooches of the 19th century. It is a very decorative set however the use of materials that was typical of this era and this type of jewellery was not the most expensive and that would be reflected on a potential selling price today.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online jewellery auction, where I believe the lovely set has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the earrings and brooch. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
