1886 - made in Cincinatti Refinished in 1961 - seem sto be very well done
Been in family
This is an antique, late 19th century, Victorian era, 1880's Eastlake style, American burled walnut bedroom suite consisting of a bedframe with high headboard and matching footboard, a two-door tall standing armoire, a 3-over-2 drawer marble top dresser with affixed pivot mirror, a marble top wash stand and a hanging wall mirror. Victorian furniture, unfortunately, is a bit slumped on the market and most furniture piece do not sell for what they used to sell for a few decades ago. The current decor style favors Mid-Century Modernism and Brutalist eras. Eastlake style in Victorian furniture still, however, has a bit of a stronger market than other Victorian era design styles and your set is larger than most. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables.
I'm not able to get that info now but I do not think it was an important name because I could not find anything on the internet about it, when I tried years ago.
Understood, thank you for responding back to me.
it might have been the merchant that sold the item
You mention the suite being made in Cincinnati, do you also have knowledge of the maker name or firm?
