Hi Samantha,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Milo Baughman (1923–2003) was an American designer whose career spanned roughly six decades. His designs are characterized by clean geometry, restrained ornament, strong proportions, and luxurious materials. His most important and enduring relationship was with Thayer Coggin, the North Carolina furniture manufacturer. Their collaboration began in 1953 and continued throughout Baughman's career. The partnership is unusually important because it allowed Baughman to develop designs that were actually manufactured to a very high standard, rather than remaining one-off experimental pieces.
One of the best examples is his chrome-and-glass furniture, in which the structural frame becomes part of the visual design rather than being hidden.
You note that this table is inspired by Milo Baughman but not actually MADE by him; that matters significantly regarding the value. If this had been a real Milo Baughman table, it would probably bring between $800 and $1,200 at auction, though retailers with similar models are currently asking between $2,000 and $2,500 for theirs. If you are considering selling this privately I would recommend asking between $2,000 and $2,500 so as to avoid
