I have this antique asian bended bowl (ceramic/porcelain) from my great grand father. He was given this item around early 1960. But i believe this bowl is 300-400 years old maybe more. It has the combination of blue and white color. And i think it's from ancient Chinese culture.
I have this item from my great grand father (he died).
Dear Targarazki,
Your bowl has been made in late 18th century, Qianlong period. Purpose puzzles me a little bit. Could be a brush washer but also a decorative bowl for food / nuts on the table. Its made for Export to most likely England were these landscape decoration were popular in the 18th century ( Willow pattern is derived from these type of decorations ). Its a nice and attractive bowl and seems in great condition. Made in, most likely the city of Guangzhou (Canton), which is the capital city of Guangdong Province in China. My estimation is based on a brush washer, a small bowl with water used in calligraphy to clean the brush. It is Scholar attribute and a collectable and therefor more interesting then a bowl. I think your best change it is a brush washer and therefor estimation is fair.
