What does this mean?

Little Chinese cabinet made early 20th century. Looks like bone inlay to me but in many cases different materials including soapstone was used. These cabinets were made mainly for export purposes to the west although they were also used in China. I agree with rosewood, grain and color supports that. These objects have a good demand, many people find them appealing and would love to buy it.

If you have intention of selling it I would recommend selling it in an auction house with a prescription to Invaluable, live auctioneers or other.
