Hello Rhonda,
I’m glad that you chose Mearto for your online appraisal request,
Considering the photographs, overall pattern, painting quality and the composition,
I concluded that this is a 1990's or later Japanese influenced vase, this one and it's alikes were probably mass produced by a large design brand in US or in Europe. Nowadays you can still see similar pieces for sale in interior design shops. This is clear due to the lack of marking, a mark is a very common factor in antique Japanese porcelain. Also the small four sized vase pads underneath the vase supports this idea.
In antique porcelain, even if there are pads under the piece they usually tend to be either in an older style or cover the whole surface, these were commonly "casino green" coloured in early 20th century antiques. The decoration on the piece imitates the Japanese letters in my opinion, at best chance they are actual Japanese letters but drawn very carelessly or by someone who do not exactly know how to write in Japanese. Additionally, base of the piece does not show any signs of time or use.
Dimensions: 12 Inches tall and 4,6 Inches wide.
Condition: Excellent condition without any visible chips or cracks
Provenance: Bought from a closing antique shop.
Entirely hand painted. Piece’s decoration is heavily dominated by Japanese letter imitations. Also the "Meander" border designs are nice and impressive for the peers of the piece.
50-100$
