7" long x 6" high, just over 4 lbs. Fair condition. No idea what the stone is. I have the other tusk, needs to be glued on. The ear was broken off, and reglued on. Thick stone. No makers markings.

Dear Susanne,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a stone carving depicting an elephant with the measurements 7 x 6 inches. The figurine was probably made out of verdite and the tusks are made out of brass or less possible bronze. Such pieces are made by the Shona tribes in Zimbabwe in the second half of the 20th century.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 10 to 30 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
