Blue satin pleated skirt and blue satin bodice with rose at waist. Blue velvet bodice back. Tag says "Tailored Junior P". The dress is about size 6. The dress is in excellent condition. It was probably only worn a few times. The dress was a gift to me from my aunt circa 1960. I never wore the dress.
Hi Heather,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
"Tailored Junior" was not a high-fashion designer line, but rather a mid-20th century American junior dress label. It was one of the many companies producing stylish but affordable dresses aimed at the post-war "junior miss" market (teenagers and young women) from the late 1940s through the 1960s.
The "P" on your label most likely stands for Petite, indicating the sizing.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage Tailored Junior Blue Party Dress
circa 1960
With blue satin pleated skirt and blue satin bodice with rose detail, blue velvet bodice back.
Petite (Size 6)
CONDITION: This appears to be in good condition
