A so called yellowback paperback published by a rather obscure publishing company. The Orville Brewer Publishing Co. published books from around 1900 to 1910, mostly very popular and easy to read texts. Yellowbacks were inexpensive and were often sold at railroad stations. Few have survived in such a good condition.
