Hello Christopher,
Thank you for contacting Mearto for your online appraisal.
Based on the images, this is a Southeast Asia, Burma (Myanmar), ca. late 19th to mid-20th century CE. A beautiful hand-carved Metal Buddha statue in full lotus position upon an integral ovoid pedestal, with his hands forming the “earth witness” Bhumisparsha mudra; one hand resting palm up in his lap and the other touching the ground. He sits upright with elongated ears touching his rounded shoulders, and the face has simple features; eyes gazing forward under thin arched brows, and a slight smile. A ushnisha with a pointed spire adorns this Buddha’s head, symbolizing the power of his enlightenment.
Overall fair condition with aged surface.
