Was a present. Was originally purchased in Mexico.
This is an vintage, later 20th century, signed and dated limited edition original color print by artist "Kiki Suarez". This is a signed and dated 1984, artist's proof print. It is titled Los Hermanos coleccionistas de zapatos, or Brother's collection of shoes. This original print has a platemark, or indent around the image. An artist's proof precedes the numbered edition run of the printing. Kiki was actually born Irene Elisabeth Oberstenfeld in Hamburg, Germany. With an inheritance, in 1977, she traveled to Mexico for a get-away. In the town of San Cristabel, she met photographer Gabriel Suarez, whom she married. There, they established a Galleria with an art gallery and cafe which soon became an enclave for like minded free thinking spirits. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
