Condition: Good Medium: Metal most probably Bronze Size and dimensions of this item: 6x3x2.5 Inches Weight: about 3.5 Lbs History: Was discovered from a private property in the Northern region of Pakistan, close to border with China in Himalayan mountains region
Gilgit, Northern region of Pakistan, Himalayan region about 300 Kms from border with China.
Dear Muhammad,
Thanks for additional pictures. Your buddha is made of Bronze and is artificial colored to give it an appearance of an antique. Acid and other methods are used to get the green and brown colour what suggest old age and a bottom find. Style of the buddha is Tibetan. These buddhas can be bought in many villages in Himalaya region by tourist who want an original souvenir. I guess its made somewhere late 20th century.

Dear simon
If desired i can take fresh pictures in day time with bottom cleaned. Advise
ok i will clean and upload all new pictures . just wait
Dear Simon
I have cleaned the statue a little. New pictures taken in day light have been updated. Please note black colour on left shoulder at back. Traces of same colour can be seen in eyes, hair, base and other parts. seems like colour was used to fill curves. There is also carving on drape on shoulder. Please let me know if you need more information or closeup picture. thank you
More i clean, its revealing gold colour.
Thanks for your effort Muhammad. I am afraid I have to stay with my initial appraisal. Its not an original old Buddha I believe.
Regards.

Dear simon
I appreciate your appraisal and would agree. As i have now cleaned it further, may be one last look may be worth the effort. I will relaod new pictures. Not meant to persuade you to change your appraisal but only for you to have relook.
i have reloaded fresh pictures, please have closer look on hand glove and base which shows different material.
