Dear Daniel,
I believe your buddha is made in Burma in the second half of 20th century. I believe its not an antique. Some things are done to the statue to make it look antique but I believe its actually not. I would say the sticker is maybe also part of the 'plan' to convince the spectator that he is looking at an old statue. Nevertheless; its hand carved and has a nice expression. I know people buy these objects to decorate their houses and are willing to pay around the estimate to buy such a Budhha.
You can bring them in of course. I can have a look then. Coming week i'm on holiday. Will check in later.
Regards,
Simon Breider
Well it was the pretties one I had and I sent it in. I have others that look more “old” but I sent this one in because of the sticker. I actually have a lot of Asian items I would liked looked at. Could I send the pictures and you tell me if they are fakes or real and old or not? I would only like an appraisal if it would be something worth $400 or more.
