My father's toy
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a very charming old tin toy car from the first part of the 20th Century. It is difficult to tell from the photos and without any visible stamps or marks where it has been made, but I would assume from the look of it that it was made in America.
The toy cars that fetch high prices at auction are in mint condition and comes with the original box, however this is quite rare as the toys usually were played with and the boxes thrown out. Your car has been much loved and played with, but the value for a collector is in the lower region.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online toy auction, where I believe the car has the best chance of realising its fullest potential.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions or if there are any visible marks or logos on the car. I’m happy to help.
Thank you
