Bronze statue. Weighs 61.82 pounds. It is on, what appears to be, a marble base. Not including this base, it is 34 3/8" high, 23.75" max. length. The widest point is at the bronze base, that being 8.25". The length of the bronze base is 17/75"
Purchased from a friend in 2014. That friend had inherited it. Current owner paid $1000.00 for it.
Dear Rick,
Thank you for your request. The apprised object is a bronze figurine with the title "Buffalo SIgnal" after a figurine made by the famous American artist Frederic Sackrider REMINGTON (1861-1909). The details of the cast and the fact that this bronze is not patinated are the arguments that this is a recast. Nevertheless casts after Remington has a market value and a bronze like that would be sold around 1000 USD or higher. Sadly this piece is in damaged condition because of the corrosion of the surface.
An estimation would be between 400 to 800 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
Georg
