Description

Early reproduction of famous calligraphy by Korean Patriot Ahn Jung-geun (1879 - 1910). Original written in Japanese prison after Ahn asssasinated Japanese politician Itō Hirobum in 1909. Notation in far left lower area states "No. 149 Ministry of Culture". The print is 84"x 19" framed. In May 2025, one of Ahn's calligraphy works sold at auction in Seoul for r 940 million won ($674,098), over three times the opening bid.
