Considering the photographs, overall pattern, materials and the style, I concluded that this is a Carved Wooden Vase Shaped Open Work Lamp with a "Silk O Lite" brand Shade. This piece dates back to the period between 1960-1980. Based on the examples on the databse we can say that this pieceprobably originated in Thailand. The Meander design was used both on the rim and the base as a decorative pattern. We can see that the artist tried to depict pomegranades alongside the carved decoration. The varnish on the wood is applied with little care and the carvings were made by electrical tools used by a craftsman. It's proportions are quite large and decorative for the interior. The piece's decoration is all floral with fruits and leaves as well as flowers. The piece is in good condition with small signes of age.
