CAST IRON DELIA TO APPRAISE ONLY PLEASE!! :-)
12.5β X 10"
Hi Jonathan,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
I'm not seeing any maker's mark in these photos, and haven't found a similar example like this online, so am basing my value on similarly sized cast iron platters
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
An antique cast iron figural platter
American or European, probably late 19th Century
The flat-bottomed mold in the form of a girl with wings, the folds of her dress creating the bowl for the platter. Apparently unmarked.
12 1/2 by 10 inches
CONDITION: appears to be in good condition with some rusting and variation to patina.
PROVENANCE: acquired at auction
$ 125-175*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, or questions/concerns, and thank you again for using Mearto.
