Centurion Painting
22 September 2020
Description

Oil on canvas. 60"x35". Apparently unsigned and unmarked. Label on back "Bowden Bros., London." Moderate cracking and flaking. No holes or tears. No frame. Apparently underwent prior restoration; canvas backing added (seems old, loose weave), and staples used on canvas. Maybe re-varnished too. Painting is dark and dirty.
