The figure was given to my father by people he met in China, when he was part of Gen. Chennault's staff there in 1945.

The finish of the interior and relatively clumsy modelling of this figure denote a relatively modern age; this was most likely made for Export, or the tourist trade. It has a nominal decorative value rather than a historic one.

In the form of a standing pot-bellied Buddha figure wearing drapes and carrying implements in his hands, hollow cast, with white crackle-glaze overall.
5 inches tall by 2 1/2 inches wide by 2 inches deep
CONDITION: appears to be in good condition with wear commensurate to age.
