Ceramic Vase 6” tall by 4”wide. Has a red stamp on bottom.
As noted on the bottom, it was given to my grandmother by her aunt in 1929.
Good morning, Michael,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
I can't make out anything from the red stamp - can you read anything from it, and if so, what does it say?
Thanks!
Delia
I've combed my database of antique ceramics stamp marks and this isn't turning up, suggesting this is of more modern manufacture (my initial thought), ie early 20th Century.
Based on the photographs and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage Neoclassical style white glazed footed urn
Probably Continental, early 20th Century
The ovoid vessel with looping triple handles on a tall foot of hexagonal section, with white glaze overall with black highlights. Indistinct red stamp mark under foot. Also with a later 1929 presentation inscription in graphite under foot.
6 inches high, 4 inches wide, across handles
CONDITION: appears to be in good condition.
PROVENANCE: inherited from grandmother, who received it from her aunt
$30-50*

Good morning,
Unfortunately, I can’t determine what it says.
