HOW WE CAME TO THIS ASSESSMENT:
Chanel started using date codes in 1984. Since then, every bag has come with a sticker containing a serial number as well as a corresponding authenticity card.
The stamps should be embossed into the leather.
The widths of each C are equal and must also match the width of the gap between them.
The Interior is uneven, bumpy, and looks easy to pull out.
A low stitch count on a fake will make the quilting look puffy and uneven. Also, be aware of sloppy or frayed stitching.
Hardware on an authentic Chanel bag will feel heavier and more substantial than on a fake.
Remember that an authentic bag will always be made from the highest quality leather and materials.

The purse was received by my wife as a gift from her boss who was an attorney during the 1990's. So the purse is at least 25-30 years old. There is no 8-digit code white sticker. I will upload more pictures. Gold snap inside says "Victory Hook" and looks like it says "Made in France".
