Wooden
NJ
This is an antique, early 20th century, about 1900 - 1910, child's slat-seat rocking chair that is made in the Mission style from the Arts & Crafts era. This has been exposed to the elements and the finish appears worn off and the wood a bit dry. It is likely made with quarter-sawn oak, though the weathering of surface obscures this in images. The Mayflower sticker affixed to this is from Aero Mayflower Transit, a moving and shipping company and not a maker label. Without a maker stamp, label or tag on this the manufacturer cannot be definitively stated. These were made in America, Canada and the UK in that era and was a popular design decor motif style in homes at that time. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
