I am not sure what type of wood it is made of. Measurements: 39-3/4" high by 20-1/2" long by 43-1/2" wide.
Received it from a friend who acquired it through inheritance.
Thank you for submitting you item for appraisal. This appears to be a chinese carved rosewood telephone chair, with a dreamstone marble at the backrest. The marble is surrounded by lingzhi motifs, surmounted by two dragons chasing a flaming pearl. The extended armrest was intended to hold an old fashioned telephone, the drawer would hold the phonebook. The cabriole legs with ball and claw feet are very much inspired by british design. The estimate is based on similar offered or sold at auction.
