This is approximately 6" tall. I purchased this one at a consignment shop at least 25 years ago. I see so many on the internet that I assume most of them are new reproductions. This one in particular has what I assume to be a maker's mark on the bottom. I found out that this one is not an antique but rather a sculpture created by a company called Shakya Statues located in Nepal, so I assume the only value is sentimental.

Hello again Meeghan,
Thanks for continuing to come to Mearto for appraisals. The item presented appears to be a sculpture depicting Green Tara (rather than Guanyin). The object appears to be painted and gilt brass and there is a floral hallmark to the underside. The hallmark indicated that the work is from Shakya Statues Trade. You can find out more from their website. - http://www.shakyastatuestrade.com/pages/custom/AboutUs.shtml

You were given correct information, the manufacturer of the object is from Nepal and these are not antique items. They are produced as decorative work for western trade. The company offers their item on ebay for asking or retail prices and these prices greatly differ from the resale or auction estimates of the same items. The estimate provided is based on the recent auction estimates and results of comparable items produced by Shakya Statues Trade rather than the company's asking prices on ebay. Thank you.
