Hi Joshua,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Since 2016, it has become increasingly difficult to sell ivory antiques, and in many cases it can not be shipped outside of the United States without first getting a CITES permit (rarely issued for ivory that is not 100 years old or older; this set would not qualify for one).
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
An antique Chinese export carved ivory chess set
made in the Hang On Ivory factory, Hong Kong, probably mid 20th Century
A complete ivory chess set with both light and dark pieces in the form of Chinese nobles or deities, in a hinged game board case with a fitted lining.
each piece 3-4 inches tall
CONDITION: client represents this to be in excellent condition. Value assumes no chips, breaks, repairs or losses.
