What does this mean?

Dear Michael,

Your lamp base is made in Europe / USA around 1970 and is made of glass. The form is derived from a Chinese lidded ginger jar. I think the decoration is printed and not painted. All is indeed inspired by Chinese art. The lamp has pure decorative value.
