Chinese ceramic green glazed vase with 3 x rams heads. 13.5 inches High and 9 inches across the widest section. Makers embossed seal/stamp to base.
Belonged to an elderly aunt who'd had it in her possession for as long as we, the family, can remember.
Dear Luke ,
You have a Chinese Yun ware vase made after the famous pottery from Song dynasty( 11th / 12th century, China ). These wares were of high quality and have striking and intens colour schemes who became inspiration for many potters including Japanese and European. This vase has a nice spattered glaze with different greens in it. Unfortunately its not from Song period. Your vase is a copy made in 20th century. There are many copy's around of these wares since they remain popular through the ages. Still also a good copy is interesting to the market these days. Therefor I believe your vase will fetch a price around the estimate.
