I inherited this table and chair set up for my mother. All I know is it is a Chippendale to sit fully complete with three leaves and table pad. 9.5 out of 10 condition.
I inherited it from my mother in Jacksonville Florida.
Good morning, Mr. Pierce,
What a beautiful dining set.
Chippendale refers to the style of the set rather than the name of the manufacturer, which is probably stamped or labeled somewhere on the table but which I don't see in the photograph. It was probably made in mid-Twentieth Century, and could have been made any time between the 1930s and early 1960s. It is probably made of walnut or mahogany but I can't tell from the photographs.
If we assume this was made by one of the average American furniture makers, the table would have a value of $500-700 and the set of 8 chairs (2 armchairs, 6 side chairs) would have a value of $400-600, which I have combined into the estimate range here ($900-1,300). A more well-known maker might be worth more.
I hope this information has been useful to you; please let us know if we can be of additional assistance. Thank you for submitting photographs to MEARTO for appraisal.
