Measures 26" wide at the seat and 20" deep with overall width of 28" and height of 39". Wood is in good shape overall, minor dings in the legs and an element of the scroll is broken off on the left side of the chair. Reupholstered.

A George III style carved mahogany armchair
English, late 19th / early 20th Century
After a design by Thomas Chippendale, the shaped acanthus-carved crest over a pierced open-work back, serpentine arms on shaped carved supports, trapezoidal seat with shaped front rail and over-the-rail yellow silk upholstery and brass tack trim, all raised on tall cabriole legs ending in scroll feet.
