The item is wood with two rounded "wells" inside. On the side of the item is a crank (the handle is missing). The top is removable (with knobs for lifting) and is glass in a wide wooden frame. It is 35" long and 19" wide. Stands 30.5 " tall and is 17.5" deep in the interior.
Mother-in-law purchased this as curio in southeastern Ontario Canada. Probably at a garage sale.

Of demilune section, with glass-paneled lift-top cover, the body enclosing two well, raised on four turned tapering leg, with side crank. Marked on the front, with an overall red-painted surface.
30 1/2 inches tall overall; 35 inches long, 19 inches deep
CONDITION: lacking minor elements, retains original red-painted surface.
PROVENANCE: acquired at a garage sale in Ontario, Canada
