Hello Mike,
I’m glad that you chose Mearto for your online appraisal request,
Considering the photographs, overall pattern, material and the composition,
I concluded that this is a Clay Pottery Vase With Double Handles. This type of modern but archaic looking pieces were heavily made by American artist. The name under the piece reads as "Suhmin". This is the best guess since the letter "U" and "H" being connected like this is something we do see very often in pottery. Unfortunately the overall quality of the piece is quite low and it has tracks indicates that it was made carelessly.
Double handles are quite interesting and shaped asymmetrically. Three different colours were used on the piece, one being the original colour of the clay and others are a modern tone of grey and black. We can understand from the bottom of the piece that the clay is composed of some blu-ish material that might be a some sort of catalizer for the clay. The composite type of clay is interesting.
