Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A Victorian era creamware pitcher and covered sugar set
European or English, mid/late 19th Century
With black transferware decoration depicting country landscapes, the pitcher impressed 'C' underneath; the sugar impressed '2' underneath.
Cream pitcher approximately 5 1/2 inches tall, 3 1/4 inches diameter
Sugar bowl approximately 4 inches tall, 3 3/4 inches diameter
CONDITION: both appear to be in good condition with minor acceptable wear commensurate with age and use.
PROVENANCE: inherited from father, who acquired the set in Germany in the 1960s
