Signed "D. Chihuly 2002" Large black glass plate/platter with various assorted smaller glass art pieces attached and an etched pattern beneath them. Large black plate is circular with a diameter just below 2 feet wide. Whole piece sitting on flat surface stands about 2 inches in height. Black plate has 25+ smaller glass art pieces attached in various groupings and styles. All smaller pieces vary between half of an inch to about 2 inches wide.
Inherited as gift from friend in Oklahoma City area.
Thank you for submitting your item. Except for the fact that it is glass there is hardly anything in common with the work of Dale Patrick CHIHULY (1941). This appears a studio glass movement inspired black glass partly sandblasted or acid etched plate decorated with fused colourful glass bits and pieces, signed "D. Carin" or similar and dated 2002. The estimate is based on similar fused glass plates by lesser known artisans offered or sold at auction.
