Danish table and 4 chairs. Possible Hans Wagner. Unsure of maker
Hi Andre,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
A key figure in the Danish Modern movement, Hans Wegner created over 500 chairs. His work exemplifies craftsmanship, simplicity, and beauty, blending natural materials with sculptural forms. His designs were so popular they inspired numerous knockoffs and copies, which have a large following though but don't achieve the same high results at auction as his original pieces do. It is fairly easy to tell the difference between them: his originals are stamped, replicas are not.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

Thanks, Andre,
I've evaluated the chairs for $700-1,000 for the set but until I know approximately how long the table extends, I can't evaluate it. If you'd like me to evaluate it as a non-extending table, please let me know and I'll update it. If you are ever able to measure the full length of the table, you are welcome to send me those measurements and I'll update this appraisal at no additional cost.
Thanks,
Delia
