An antique American maple slant-lid school desk
Probably New England, 19th Century
The rectangular frame with hinged slant lid opening to an interior fitted with two short drawers and a later blue (baize?) writing surface, over a short divided drawer flanked by lopers and lid supports, raised on square tapering legs.
36 inches tall, 36 inches wide, 30 inches deep
CONDITION: appears to be in good condition with some wear commensurate to age and use.
PROVENANCE: inherited
