Excellent condition, unsure who made it, wood
Unsure?
Hi Alycia,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
I've not found any models similar enough to make an attribution to the maker of this dining set but it and others reasonably similar were made in the 1930s and 40s by several companies, including in Michigan (Sligh, Baker, Widdicomb, Berkey & Gay, Kindel, John Widdicomb, and others) and in Wisconsin (Rohde, R-way and H.C. Prange).
Most sets of this size and condition usually bring comparatively modest sums at auction; I would expect this to sell for between $1,000 and $1,500.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage Colonial Revival style maple or walnut dining set
unattributed American maker, circa 1930s-40s, comprising:
Table with single leaf, 6 chairs, china cabinet and a side board. Unmarked
(DESCRIPTION)
CONDITION: These appear to be in good condition
PROVENANCE: Inherited
$1,000-1,500 for the entire set*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
