Oval Fruitwood dining table 8 feet and 1/2 inches long; 6 feet wide. In perfect condition. Decorative base with gold leafing
My parents owned. I moved it to my home after they passed away and have only used it twice.
Hi Molly,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
This is probably about 30 inches high; if you'd like for this appraisal to include the height, please forward that and I'll amend this appraisal ASAP.
It looks like this extends - do you have more than just one leaf (which is inserted in the photos)?
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A large Rococo Revival inlaid satinwood extending dining table
early 20th Century
The oval top inlaid with darkwood line-inlay; raised on an acanthus carved and white and parcel gilt divided single-pedestal base that separates as the table extends.
(height), 96 1/2 inches long, 72 inches deep
CONDITION: wear appears to be commensurate with age and use.
PROVENANCE: inherited
$2,500-3,500*

Thank you very much. I will measure the height. There is one in the photo I sent to you, however there is an additional leaf of the same size. I will insert that leaf and send a photo. Let me know if there are additional fees to revise the appraisal. Also I would like to sell the table. I live outside of Washington DC so the buyer will need to be local.
Do you help with selling the table? What fees are involved?
There are eight dining chairs that go with this table. I will initiate another appraisal for them,
